Irfan Pathan is a popular Indian former Cricket player. He played all the formats of the cricket game. He is a bowling all-rounder in cricket. Personal Life
Irfan Pathan was born on 27th October 1984 in Baroda, India. He belongs to the Pathan community in Gujarat. He grew up in the mosque with his elder brother Yusuf in Vadodara. In childhood, Pathan and his brother took an interest in Cricket. Irfan Pathan had a relationship with Shivangi Dev. She wanted him to marry Pathan but since he wished his brother to get married first. So that the difference began to grow and their relationship broke in 2012. On 4th February 2016, he married Safa Baig in Mecca. Safa Baig was a famous model in Saudi Arabia’s media industry. Then, Imran Khan Pathan was to couple.
Early Years
At Adelaide Oval, Pathan made his test debut against Australia in December 2003. Due to an injury to Baroda left-armer Zaheer Khan in the first test, he opened the bowling at the age of 19. He took the wicket of Matthew Hayden in a high scoring match. Due to the return of Zaheer, he was dropped for the next test match. With 16 wickets against Australia and Zimbabwe, he was the leading wicket-taker in the ODI tri-nation tournament. After taking 4/24 against Zimbabwe, he won his first “International Man of the Match” award.
Beyond Cricket
In 2015, Irfan Pathan became a contestant in the popular dance show “Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa” on Colors TV. With his dancing skills, he impressed many people. He stayed a little period on the show. On 22nd August 2015, Irfan Pathan quit the show in the 6th week. With his brother Yusuf Pathan, Irfan launched the “Cricket Academy of Pathans”. This academy is tied up with Kapil Dev (Former Indian coach) and Cameron Tradell as chief mentors.

In the first over of the test match, he is the only Cricketer to take a half-trick. Also, Irfan Pathan is the only fastest Indian bowler to take 100 ODI wickets in 59 matches. The fastest ODI double of 1000 runs and 100 wickets was the unbroken record made by Irfan Pathan in 1059 days. He has scored 172 runs and played 24 T20 matches. Irfan Pathan has taken 28 wickets at an average of 22.07 and an economy rate of 8.02.

Irfan made his test debut on 12th December 2003 against Australia. He played his last test match against South Africa on 5th April 2008. Irfan made his first ODI debut on 9th January 2004 against Australia. He played his last ODI match against Sri Lanka on 4th August 2012. His ODI and T20I shirt number is 56.
